True Faith: Carl Taylor
Following July’s single release of ‘Perplexer/Violet’, which featured a remix from Orlando Voorn and November’s second single ‘Only U’ with re-workings provided by Mark Broom and Luis Martinez, Carl Taylor now releases his second studio album ‘True Faith’ in the new year.
Carl’s previous releases can be found on the likes of Bugged Out, F-Comm, Dust Science, Advanced and F1 Recordings, as well as his Warehouse Trax series, which has built him a reputation for delivering a range of techno from tougher, dirty edged, dancefloor beats to blissfully melodic tracks, yet always feature his signature depth and soulfulness.
Having had a sneaky preview listen of Carl’s new material I was totally addicted from the first second. I am known for being into mainly pop-punk or screamo tunes, but listening to True Faith made a nice change to make me realise I need to check out other genres as well.
From listening to tracks such as Violet and Only You the beats are catchy, addictive and draw you into the song. I am dissapointed at myself for not checking Carl Taylor out any sooner.
It may not have any lyrics, but nevertheless I can just imagine listening to this for hours on end.
The album True Faith is released on the 16th January 2012 through EPM Music. I definately recommend that you should check this talented artist out asap!!
